Enter Shikari

Enter Shikari's immense electronics rig comprises a load of gear, synchronised to provide the massive sound the band are famed for. Among numerous hardware sequencers, synths and effects units is an Ableton Live rig, which is used, among other things, to process the triggers from the drum kit in real time. It's a clever setup.
Central to the system is a Novation 49 SL MkII, which acts as a master controller. Edd Slaney, Enter Shikari's monitor engineer and chief electronics tech, explains why they chose a Novation for control. "We were using a controller from another brand as the main controller, but when that failed on us, we decided we needed a stable and reliable keyboard controller that would fit in with our setup. We went for the Novation SL MkII, because it has everything we need, and it's tough enough for touring."
2010 sees Enter Shikari embark on a worldwide touring schedule, taking in Australia, Japan and the USA.
